Description of Class
One night. One author. One focused study of the craft.
We’re thrilled to welcome New York Times bestselling author B.A. Shapiro to the studio for our single-session master class, The Three Most Important Words: Revision, Revision, Revision.
Any successful writer will tell you that revision is critical to the completion of an effective piece of fiction or nonfiction. But how should you approach it? In this productive three-hour session, you’ll discuss the whys, hows, and what-to-dos of the revision process with an award-winning novelist who’s been through it all before.
Please note: This session is best suited for writers working on longer manuscripts—fiction, memoir, narrative nonfiction, true crime, and so on, and may not be as helpful for those working on essays and short stories. The class includes practical exercises, so please bring in a chapter from a work in progress.
You’ll walk away with practical strategies to inform future revisions, along with an informative checklist to help organize your approach.Top
