Description of Class
Yoga takes on many forms. Asana becomes a meditation in movement. Breath-work a meditation in focus and calm. Yoga can also be meditation through writing – releasing thoughts, ideas, and stories – expressing oneself by leaving it all on the page.
Yoga opens us up to connect with our minds and bodies. In this workshop, we’ll try to deepen the mind-body connection by combining asana and writing exercises. Through yoga you find your breath and through writing you give that breath a voice. Practicing asana, breath-work and writing together can ignite your creativity and empower your voice to take its truest form.
This workshop is for anyone looking for a deeper connection to themselves, for writers just starting out to those that have a steady practice, and for yogis of any level that are curious about writing as a way of release and creativity.
