Description of Class
**APPLICATION DEADLINE: March 31, 2017**
Have stories or novel chapters ready to share with a group of committed and experienced readers?
The Advanced Fiction Workshop is designed for advanced writers who need clear and structured feedback to improve their work. Facilitated by award-winning author Abby Geni, each session focuses on workshopping student manuscripts to highlight what’s working and identify opportunities to delve deeper.
The group will meet once a month, leaving writers plenty of time to read and write between sessions. Each three-hour session will include time to discuss the creative process, workshop manuscripts, and share a light meal together.
Each student will be expected to read manuscript drafts to be workshopped and prepare comprehensive comments. Students will also receive detailed comments from the instructor.
This course is limited to 12 students and will meet once a month for six sessions. Participants should have previous workshop experience and be prepared to participate fully in discussions.
To ensure that the class will be the most beneficial to everyone, we ask that students submit a sample of their work. To apply, please email a 10-page Word document (this can be a short story or novel excerpt) to: email@example.com.
