H. V. CRAMOND is an RYT200 Hatha Yoga Instructor, Poetry Editor for and a Co-founder of Requited Journal for Innovative Art, and a Writing Instructor at Loyola University Chicago. She has been practicing yoga for over ten years and has been teaching for five. She favors hatha style asana so each student has the time to find optimal alignment for his or her body. She is currently working toward her 500-hour certification at Moksha Yoga Center. Heather has received grants for her writing from the Illinois Arts Council, Vermont Studio Center, and the City of Chicago; her poems won honorable mention in the 2013 Split This Rock Competition judged by Mark Doty and the 2005 Student Poetry Competition at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she earned her MFA.  Current or forthcoming work can be found in Soundless Poetry, Crack the Spine, Matter, Ignavia, and on her website at hvcramond.com. Her goal is to bring the benefits of yoga and writing to her students, including increased mental and physical health, greater awareness, and openness to joy. Show Me More
