Denise Santomauro is a writer, performer, and teacher, who holds an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College of Fine Arts. She has contributed content to several blogs, been published in the Dear Sister anthology, and has written plays and scenes for young people through her work at the Auditorium Theatre, Imagination Theatre, and Northern Illinois University. In addition to performing in a number of stage plays, she has been seen in live lit shows around the city, including Story Club and Story Sessions. As an instructor, she has taught playwriting, poetry, and prose workshops through many organizations, and as a teaching artist, Denise works with children and teens to explore various art forms and create their own art. She is currently revising a YA novel.
