Anna Scott holds a degree in literary journalism from Boston University and a master’s in humanities and creative writing from the University of Chicago. She spent eight years as a newspaper journalist at The Salem News outside of Boston and Florida’s Sarasota Herald-Tribune. She has covered everything from county fairs to the 2008 presidential election, garnering awards for political and human interest features writing. She teaches in the humanities and English departments at Tribeca Flashpoint Academy and Illinois Institute of Technology. She continues to practice writing fiction, which for her requires an obsession with exploring where, in her reporting on life, those stories come from.
