Our mission is to foster confidence and creativity in writing through small group classes and creative writing summer camps. Our encouraging atmosphere helps young writers in grades six through twelve to build their writing skills and fluency.
Our focus is not on grades, attendance, or test scores. Rather, we’re committed to teaching the next generation of writers and readers.
Students find our classes fun and creative. Our learning modules are tailored to provide a powerful mix of writing instruction, hands-on workshopping, and individual attention.
Creative Writing Summer Camps
Each summer StoryStudio brings together young writers from throughout Chicagoland.
This year, we’ll be running two sessions: June 24-28, 2013 and July 22-26, 2013
In the week-long Creative Writing Camp, young authors will write without worrying about grades or deadlines, create new work and polish existing pages, and work closely with professional writers who will help to guide their process and answer any questions about writing, publishing, living the writing life, and more.
Register for one week, or both!
