Youth Tutoring
For middle school, junior high and high school students who need extra help with writing for school or college applications, we offer intensive, personalized instruction from veteran educators.
The national emphasis on high stakes testing has forced many schools to budget their curricular time, allocating the majority of classroom time to reading and math. For this reason, recent years have seen a general decrease in writing and liberal arts education in the schools, even though these skills are perhaps the most crucial tool a young person needs to get into college and succeed in the workforce.

- Grammar & Punctuation
How it Works
Students may use the tutoring program to help them with basic writing mechanics, critical thinking, essay structures, and more. We can develop a lesson plan for the student, or work week by week, depending on school assignments.Our Tutors
Our academic writing instructors and tutors have an education background and experience in working with students in many forms of academic writing and reading.All of our tutors are happy to talk with you about their individual style and approach.
Appointment Times
Tutoring sessions typically take place on weekday afternoons, between 4pm and 8pm. Please contact us for current openings.Location
Tutoring sessions are held at our North Shore studio, 723 Elm Street, Suite 26, Winnetka. In addition to a warm and welcoming atmosphere, our North Shore studio has a lounge area and private tutoring room.Tutoring Packages & Fees
Packages are available for ongoing tutoring or for extended projects. Individual tutoring sessions may also be purchased.Tutoring sessions are $80 per hour. (Parents may opt for a 50-minute session, leaving time for a parent consultation.)
- 5-Hour Package: $400 for five sessions
- 10-Hour Package: $800 for ten sessions
