The Writing Workshop
Begins Wednesday, September 14, 2011
For writers at all levels, this eight-session workshop invites you to bring either fiction or creative non-fiction work to be shared and discussed in a supportive and encouraging environment.
We'll look at short stories, novel excerpts, essays, or freelance articles and blog posts. To keep our writing muscles lean, the class will also work with writing prompts and published work.
This workshop is great for anyone who has drafts ready for a critique. In addition to focused feedback from your peers, you will also receive written comments from the instructor.
Writer's Roadmap: This class is open to writers at all levels. For those interested in Personal Essay or Memoir writing, we suggest the Writing Life Stories class or Personal Essay Workshop.

About the Instructor: Kate Ancell holds an MA in Creative Writing from the University of East Anglia in England, where she studied under former poet laureate Andrew Motion. She has taught writing in preparatory schools and colleges in both England and America. As a journalist, she worked for Conde Nast for many years; her work has appeared in Tatler, Vogue, Brides, Food Illustrated, CS and many local, regional and national magazines and newspapers. Her cookbook, California Sol Food, won a Tabasco Award. She loves being part of the StoryStudio team and Kate also teaches in the studio's Words for Work program.
