Sate your hunger for poetry with this one-night workshop. We will discuss our process, write from multiple prompts and workshop our poetry.

Who Should Attend: Experienced poets, aspiring poets and everyone in-between are welcome. Whether you are an experienced poet or have always just been curious about writing in verse, this one-night workshop is for you.

About the Instructor: Alyson Paige Warren holds an MFAW from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She adores teaching various forms of writing at StoryStudio Chicago, Loyola University and the “High Jump” program with the Latin School of Chicago and the StoryStudio Chicago Youth Institute for young writers. She has edited two books for StoryStudio alumna: Loot: Stolen Memories and Tales Out of School by Jenene Ravesloot and A Thousand Beautiful Things by Vicki Tesmer. Paige is writing Sex Sells: Confessions of a Victoria’s Secret Salewench, a creative non-fiction long piece about working in retail. She has also recently finished two children’s books (Why Owl Does Not Sleep at Night and this is a chinchilla) which she is in the process of illustrating.
