If you’re facing some writer’s block or just need a few new ideas to get the blood flowing to your pen, let First Pages be your club. Instructor Paige Warren will offer inspiring exercises in any and all genres, to be tailored to the class’ needs. Come jump start your writing—with the class equivalent of an extra shot of espresso.

The class will focus on generative writing prompts, examining and developing process and discussions on cultivating inspiration, breaking through writing challenges, etc. If you’ve never put pen to paper or you’re a polished pro looking to renew your writing, this course will cater to you.

Writer’s Roadmap
This is an excellent course for beginning and intermediate writers who need fresh inspiration to get started (or re-started) with their writing.

About the Instructor: Alyson Paige Warren holds an MFAW from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She teaches writing at StoryStudio Chicago, Loyola University, Robert Morris University and in the “High Jump” program with the Latin School of Chicago. She has read her work all around the city and beyond, and has edited a book of poetry (Loot: Stolen Memories and Tales Out of School) by StoryStudio Chicago alumna Jenene Ravesloot and a book of fiction (A Thousand Beautiful Things) by StoryStudio Chicago alumna Vicky Tesmer. Paige is currently writing and editing Sex Sells: Confessions of a Victoria’s Secret Saleswench, a creative non-fiction long piece about working in retail. She is also working on two children’s books (Why Owl Does Not Sleep at Night and this is a chinchilla) which she both writing and illustrating.
