Fiction II: Writing with Intention

Begins Wednesday, January 18, 2012

Expand your imagination while strengthening your writing craft skills? Think about the structure of stories and still feel liberated enough to keep that internal editor at bay? Sound impossible?

In Writing with Intention, that’s exactly what you’ll do.

The elements of writing craft will play a leading role in this class. Image, setting, story development, voice, and character will be center stage as we explore these elements as the foundation of any story. Writing prompts will help you become more comfortable with the building blocks of fiction and feel excited about experimenting with your stories. During the course, you’ll generate new pages with an eye towards completing a short piece of fiction.

Students will leave Writing with Intention with an excellent grasp of major craft elements and 10-15 pages of new writing.

Additional Courses of Interest:

Who Should Attend:
  • Adults, 18 and over
  • Intermediate writers
