Business of Freelancing
Description: For many writers, freelancing is the ultimate escape from the 9-to-5 corporate world. But to truly savor the freedom and rewards of being on your own, the work has to be treated like an organized business. After all, there’s little joy in doing what you love if you can’t pay the rent.
In this three-week workshop, we’ll give you the tools to help you network, find assignments and negotiate for higher pay.
Who Should Attend: This class is open to writers at all levels interested in building a freelancing career—full- or part-time. Great for those exploring their options as well as for those freelancers who wish to improve their businesses.
About the Instructor: Phuong Ly is an award-winning freelance journalist who specializes in lengthy narrative stories.
