You Write Funny One Day:
Write a Funny Essay and Win Tickets to See David Sedaris
He's funny. He's insightful. He's a great writer. And perhaps he's even the reason you wanted to write in the first place!
Now is your chance to see David Sedaris live at the Auditorium Theatre on Saturday, April 17. Just write a funny, humorous, poignant essay and submit your entry to StoryStudio's online magazine, Cooler by the Lake.
Our faculty and staff members will read through all entries and choose four lucky winners who will receive two tickets to the show.
Here are the details:
1. Write your essay in they style of David Sedaris or just in your own funny and insightful voice.
2. Keep essays to 1500 words or less. (One entry per person please.)
3. Submit your entry to Cooler by the Lake.
4. All entries must be submitted NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, MARCH 26.
5. Winners will be notified via email by April 2 and winning essays will be published on Cooler by the Lake.
6. This contest is open to all past, present and future StoryStudio writers.
