The Fifth Annual StoryStudio Writers’ Retreat
Treat yourself to an intensive and fun writing immersion weekend without breaking the bank.
We continue our new tradition of providing an in-town writing retreat and enjoying the cozy and comfortable setting of StoryStudio where there is plenty of room to sprawl on a sofa or sit at a table.
But like all of our retreats, this one will feature a full weekend of writing, workshopping, reading and socializing and a chance for you to immerse yourself in an inspirational writing setting.
Workshop sessions will focus on honing our craft and getting deeper into our characters—and our stories. They’ll be time to work on some writing prompts, share your work in a peer review, read as a writer and even workshop a short piece.
The schedule is packed with creative and learning time. We’ll gather on Friday, when the studio will open at 3pm for those who wish to come early and enjoy some quiet time. In the evening we’ll have dinner together and take some time to get to know one another and share a few tales. On Saturday we’ll focus on workshops and craft, then send you off for dinners at restaurants within walking distance. Then on Sunday, we’ll have a craft session in the morning then set you up in the studio to enjoy the rest of the day at our StoryStudio Write-a-Thon.
StoryStudio will not be providing accommodations, but if you’re coming in from out of town, we’re happy to make some recommendations.

The Retreat Fee Includes:
- All activities Friday-Sunday
- All writing sessions and three classes
